Poetry Thursday: Restore

This week we have the second contribution from the talented blogger Rachel Lee Haas. Her poem this week strikes a chord in me (okay, okay, pun intended) as it pertains to the state of modern worship. Worship should, in fact, be a part of daily life and not just constricted to songs. While I think there is something to be said for performing a ritual even when you do not want to, if that becomes your only religious action then something is seriously wrong. One way or the other, this poem is a good look into what worship music is for many people. Enjoy. Christ Abide.

Poetry Thursday: Stillness

Today’s poem comes from blogger Rachel Lee Haas. I’m actually surprised that I have yet to feature her here, since she and I have been talking about blogging and collaborating for a lot of the time that I have been running this blog. Her poem is a reflection of something we all tend to forget about. Even my recent post on the Sabbath was a sort of reflection on something similar, albeit with a different end focus.
