This last week, my roommates and I adopted a cat. We found him outside of our apartment, and we are enjoying his company very much. He still bewilders me with the things he finds entertaining, but I suppose that is just the nature of cats in general. It feels good to not only have a living thing under (partially) my care, but to be able to claim ownership over something that so clearly demonstrates that I am living outside of the house and completely on my own (even after graduating college, this is still sometimes a challenge).

That being said, I need to get some sleep so that I can finish my work for my class in a timely manner tomorrow and Tuesday. Here’s a picture of my cat. His name is Tom. You can debate about how he got that name, but I like it because of a certain theologian.
One year ago today, I created a WordPress account, made up a name for a blog, and then attempted to explain the URL I had just chosen for myself. I thought a lot about how to commemorate this day. I knew that it warranted a post (after all, if 100 posts warrants one, so does 1 year), but did not know the best way to celebrate. I already did a pretty long reflection on blogging for my 100 post mark, and since a relatively small amount of time has passed since then I did not want to repeat that particular post, even if it was only in sentiment.
