A Quick Update
I am finally finished with almost everything for my finals week (I have one more reflection to write, which will likely become a blog post, and a little bit of reading to do today), so the blog will be back! And then I will come to the week I take off every year, between Christmas and New Years. So…I’m glad to be back, but I’ll be disappearing again for a little bit. There’s a lot to look forward to, though, and I’ve already been writing quite a bit, just not primarily for here.
Last week I was featured at my friend Ivy’s blog, writing (of all things) a fiction story. I’ve never really ventured into fiction, if ever, but I’ve gotten mostly positive feedback. The little bit of negative feedback I got was quite good, however, in that it was constructive and gave me some ideas with how to play with what I’ve already got.
Likewise, I’m back to blogging consistently for Evangelical Outpost. I wrote up a piece about music and the recent trend among certain artists to offer their albums for free. I also got a chance to talk about the trend of people walking away from churches because of their ‘anti-scientific’ beliefs concerning Creation and the Old Earth/Young Earth debate, which can be found here. I’ve got at least one or two more pieces in the pipeline for that particular site, so be sure to keep going back if you’d like to read more posts by me than just what shows up here.
Finally, keep an ear out for my work at The Christian Manifesto. I may have slowed down a bit there in the last few months (grad school, EO, grading papers, and loving the Oxford comma have gotten in the way), but expect some new and big things in the next year. There are some exciting things happening behind the scenes, and you may have more opportunity to hear my voice. Things should be exciting.
Be sure to check tomorrow for a poem, written by yours truly. We’ll have another week of updates here, and then a week or so off. After that, I’ll be back in full force. See you then. Christ Abide.
